The Effect of Pre - Wintering Application of Urea on Regeneration and Seed Production of Zoysia Japonica Stend

Abstract
|
|
|
To determine the effect of pre-wintering application of urea on Zoysia japonica growth, regeneration and seed production, this experiment was conducted.
(1) In case of pre-wintering application of urea, the nitrogen contents of rhizome was increased.
(2) Total dry matter weight and length of rhizome were increased with urea application at pre-wintering season.
(3) There was high increase of length of rbizome and total fresh matter weight at the transplanted area, because of the effect of pre-wintering application of urea.
(4) By the favorable effect of pre-wintering application of urea on the 1,000 grains weight and number of seed per panicle, the seed production was increased.
